- Ongoing follow-up
Regular follow-up visits to check your progress and adjust care when needed.
Taking QbCheck? How to prepare
To help ensure accurate results:
- Sit upright in a stable, non-swivel chair.
- Use a computer on a desk or table, not on your lap.
- Keep your body as still as possible during the test.
- Avoid coffee, caffeine, or medications before the test.
- If you can, test first thing in the morning, well-rested, before any medications.
- Don't take the test when you're feeling anxious.

Does QbCheck diagnose ADHD?
No. QbCheck is an FDA-cleared, objective measure of attention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity, but it is only one part of an ADHD evaluation and cannot be used alone to diagnose ADHD. A diagnosis comes from a comprehensive evaluation with a qualified clinician.
Is QbCheck covered by insurance?
No. QbCheck is $150 and is not covered by insurance. The psychiatric evaluation itself can be billed to accepted insurance plans or paid at the self-pay rate.
Do you evaluate adults for ADHD?
Yes. Great Minds evaluates patients ages 10 and up, including children, adolescents, and adults.
Can I have an ADHD evaluation by telehealth?
Yes, subject to applicable state telehealth requirements. Telehealth visits are available in Virginia, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Washington State, Colorado, Connecticut, Arizona, and Massachusetts, and you must be physically located in one of those states at the time of your appointment. In-person visits are available at our Chester, Virginia office by appointment.
Will I automatically be prescribed ADHD medication?
No. Medication recommendations are individualized and depend on the evaluation, clinical history, and treatment needs. When medication is appropriate, it is prescribed and monitored in accordance with federal and state requirements.
